Maintain Fees Overview

The Maintain Fees section of the Special Assessments module allows you to create and manage a variety of fees associated with special assessments. These fees may then be charged as needed for variable amounts from the Adjustments section.

Maintain Fees List Page

The Maintain Fees List page allows users to add a new fee, view the current list of fees, and click a fee to edit it.

Creating a Fee

  1. On the Maintain Fees List page, click New.
  2. The Special Assessments Fees page will be displayed.
  3. The Active check box determines whether or not the fee is active and available to be used. It is selected by default. Clear the check box if you do not want it to be active.
  4. Enter a Code to identify the fee. This is a required field that may contain up to 16 alphanumeric characters.
  5. Enter a Description for the fee. This is a required field that may contain up to 64 alphanumeric characters.
  6. Enter a Default Quantity for the fee. This is an optional field that may contain up to nine numeric characters and two decimal places.
  7. Enter a Default Value dollar amount for the fee. This is a required field that may contain up to nine numeric characters and two decimal places.
  8. Select an Override G/L Account from the drop-down or click the Advanced Search icon to display the G/L Account Prompt to identify the account to be selected.
  9. Click Save to save all entered information. Click Save/New to save the entered information on the current fee and advance to a new blank entry screen.

Editing a Fee

All fields except for the Code can be edited after the first save but are not editable after the fee has been used. To edit a fee, click on the code hyperlink in the grid. Once modifications have been made, click Save.

Deleting a Fee

Fees that have not been used may be deleted from the Maintain Fees List page by clicking on the fee to be deleted, then clicking the Delete button located at the bottom of the grid. A pop-up will be displayed asking you to confirm the deletion. Click OK to continue.
